Watch this space – south Warwickshire up-and-coming musician Matt Bate has already taken the internet music scene by storm.

And the 23-year-old, who gave up his job as a project manager 18 months ago to get stuck into his music career, is already in high demand for private parties and events across the UK – while he has even toured around Barbados.

Matt, who said he was “shocked” to discover he had more than 1,000 ‘likes’ on his Facebook page and almost 1 million views on his YouTube channels, has been playing the acoustic guitar since childhood.

He said: “I thought, what else can I do? I tried singing and that was really fun. Then I decided to try a loop pedal.

“Live music was a passion and a hobby, but it was getting busier and busier for me, so I decided to try it full time. I had a fantastic first year, so I am carrying on.”

Describing his music as “happy, lively and fun”, Matt says he takes influences from different cultures – including the culture of Warwickshire.

He often plays gigs at various venues around Leamington, Warwick and Stratford. To hear some of Matt’s music and get in touch with him, visit Facebook.com/MattBateMusic orYouTube.com/MattBateOfficial
